From the moment a fig is picked, a clock begins to tick. For its flavor is never better, brighter, or sweeter than when it is perfectly ripe. Prolonging that freshness—that fleeting peak taste and texture—is the single-minded mission of Sub-Zero. Please enjoy.
The technology that Sub-Zero uses may seem a little strange at first, but it is IMPORTANT to understand so that the equipment is not damaged:
The door may SEEM to be locked after it is closed - Wait 30 to 60 seconds after the door closes for pressure to equalize before reopening the door. This is a normal condition as Sub-Zero products are designed for an airtight seal.
· Ambient room air mixed with the cold compartment air creates a vacuum until the pressure equalizes.
· The greater the difference in temperatures, the longer the vacuum may last.
· The refrigerator and freezer doors do not have a lock. Depending on the strength of the vacuum, it may seem as if the door is locked.
