Chateau Lac Hayden has deployed a hydronic radiant heating which works through the power of water. A boiler heats up water and send it through tubing underneath the floor, effectively heating the entire home. This is widely recognized as the most comfortable heat available for homes today. You will not feel the drafts of dry air that you do with a typical forced air system. Each area or room has its own thermostat and controls the flow of the hot water through the floor in that “zone”.
Keep in mind that this type of heating system does not change the temperature in the room rapidly. If the red light on the thermostat is on, then the hot water is flowing in the floor and it will eventually warm up the room. Turning up the temperature higher, does not create hotter water, but just keeps the water flowing longer until the desired temperature is reached.
We enjoy walking around during the winter and feeling the warm floor on our feet – best when not wearing shoes!
The central air system effectively regulates the temperature in each room of the house, providing comfort and respite from the sweltering heat of summer days. Simply set the thermostat at your desired temperature.
To ensure maximum cooling efficiency and energy conservation, it is advised not to operate the air conditioning in conjunction with the Radiant Heat Flooring system. Additionally, please remember to keep doors and windows closed.
